Our History

Team Trident is a private recruiting firm based in Houston, Texas, with a niche focus in the energy industry. Because of our direct participation in energy prior to starting our firm, we recognized that this industry was experiencing the convergence of several significant issues:

The industry suffered decades of infrastructure stagnation and was faced with an aging manpower base
Technological advancements across the industry are requiring more highly qualified and technically-oriented employees
Production is moving to isolated locations like deep offshore, Rockies, and Canada and to dangerous parts of the world, such as West Africa
Many companies recognize that the offshore work environment is challenging for non-military technicians used to a “white collar” routine

Skilled technicians transitioning out of the military have provided the answer to many of these problems:

The average military technician receives between six months to two years of training and acquires four to eight years of on-the-job experience before end of service
Service members are accustomed to the living conditions required offshore and in isolated locales

Building on our vast network of contacts within the military and combining those with our energy backgrounds and understanding of the current industry climate, the management team formed Team Trident in 2006.
