Client: Offshore services company with revenues of approximately $500 million
Position: Subsea BOP Controls Service Technicians
Details: Client made significant investment to enter the subsea blow out preventer (BOP) controls market and needed to expand service department rapidly.
Delivery: We verified the technical skills (electro-mechanical-hydraulic) of our client and then challenged our Southern California recruiting team to host a two day, exclusive hiring event. In October 2007, we screened over 40 technicians and introduced 15 of the best for interviews. Offers were extended to 8 candidates and 7 (pictured below) started work between November 2007 and January 2008.
Client: Offshore provider of ROV systems and services
Position: ROV Technician
Details: Our client was experiencing rapid growth and was about to take delivery of 4 new $5MM systems. Their existing hiring process could not quickly identify electronics technicians capable of operating and maintaining these sophisticated systems.
Delivery: We began an aggressive recruiting campaign that helped us identify 20 strong military technicians with skills, aptitude and attitude necessary to thrive in this role. Several have advanced quickly into Supervisory positions.
Client: International providers of maintenance, turnaround and construction services for oil and gas, petrochemical and other industries.
Position: Turnaround Manager
Details: Our client was facing a tight deadline schedule with approaching turnaround season and needed to fill this key role with a seasoned veteran quickly.
Delivery: Using our network of industry contacts, we placed several calls to key professionals in the downstream energy sector and were referred to a manager with more than 25 years of experience in the petrochemical and refinery niche that was ready to move. Within 2 weeks of introduction the new Turnaround Manager started work.
Client: Provider of products and services to offshore and onshore oil & gas industries with 1800 employees in 6 countries.
Position: General Manager
Details: Our client had just made the multi-million dollar purchase of a 22-acre industrial waterfront facility along the Houston Ship Channel and needed a seasoned professional to lead the transition to new management.
Delivery: Within a week of getting notice from our client, we found, screened and introduced a senior Naval Officer with extensive experience working waterfront overhaul facilities for the Department of Defense. An offer was extended and accepted in less than two weeks. The new GM has been exceeding expectations.
