Building Careers in Subsea: People, Purpose, and Long-Term Impact

Team Trident technicians building subsea careers offshore

Since 2006, Team Trident has built its foundation on a simple but powerful principle: identify exceptional people
and give them a pathway to long-term success in the subsea construction industry.

What began with identifying high-performing non-commissioned officers transitioning from the U.S. military has
since evolved into a broader, strategic approach across key regions in the Americas. While the geography has
expanded, the philosophy has remained unchanged. We continue to focus on individuals who demonstrate proven
performance, strong technical ability, a positive attitude, and a disciplined work ethic.

From the outset, the goal has never been only recruitment. It has been developed.

Team Trident provides structured pathways that connect high-potential technicians and engineers with world-class
offshore operators
supporting critical subsea energy projects around the globe. Just as importantly, we remain
actively involved in their progression—assessing, mentoring, and investing in their development as they advance
through increasingly complex operational environments.

One of the most meaningful aspects of this work is the long-term impact it creates. These careers do more than
build offshore capability; they transform lives. The opportunities generated through subsea training and offshore
deployment extend far beyond the individual, positively influencing families, communities, and local economies
both in North America and abroad.

Developing Local Talent in Strategic Regions

Since 2019, Team Trident has worked closely with partners in regions such as Guyana to strengthen local content
capability within the subsea construction sector. Together with regional collaborators, the focus has been clear:
Identify high-potential local talent and provide structured competency development that enables long-term careers
in offshore energy.

This approach is not short-term placement. It is workforce development with intent.
By investing in training and technical progression, we help ensure that local professionals are equipped to operate
in highly demanding subsea environments while building sustainable careers within the global energy industry.
A strong example of this initiative is Guyanese ROV Pilot Technician Jason Caines, who is pictured aboard the C-
Installer during ROV pre-launch operations in the Liza Field, approximately 120 miles offshore from Georgetown. At
the time, the vessel was operating outside the 500-meter exclusion zone while awaiting clearance of the Skandi
Constructor, highlighting the precision, coordination, and safety discipline required in these environments.

A Commitment That Goes Beyond the Project

Whether developing transitioning military personnel or building local capability in emerging offshore regions, the
mission remains the same: identify talent, develop skills, and create opportunity.

The subsea industry demands technical excellence, resilience, and adaptability. By focusing on people first, we
ensure that our workforce is not only prepared for today’s projects but positioned for long-term success in an
evolving global energy landscape.

At Team Trident, we remain committed to investing in people—because when individuals grow, the entire industry
advances with them.
