FAQ

Q: Why does Team Trident Exist?
A: People are the key component in any operation. Without competent people, even the most reliable equipment and well-planned operation runs the risk of failure. Team Trident exists to consistently provide competent people to its subsea construction clients.

Q: Where does Team Trident find competent people?
A: In 2006, we started by selecting the very best technicians from the US armed forces. We targeted those that had formal technical training, spent at least 4 years in their trade offshore and could prove they cared about their professional reputation with their consistently exceptional performance evaluations and personal decorations. Today, we still draw from the military but also have a strong network of ROV professionals from Brazil, Mexico, Trinidad and other parts that have a sterling reputation offshore.

Q: Why are Team Trident personnel any different than those from other agencies?
A: All our personnel have to have been very good in their trade before they joined Team Trident. Once part of our team, they are inducted in a competence scheme and are monitored closely for performance. Those that want a good home on our team simply have to conduct themselves competently and professionally offshore. Those that don’t do so are not asked back. Our team cares about its professional reputation.

Q: What are some of the benefits of working for Team Trident?
A: Our clients trust us to deliver great people so they give us first call. That translates to steady work for our offshore team. It also means that you can hold your head up with pride that you are part of a team others respect. Additionally, we pay bi-weekly…..if you have earned it, funds are deposited in your bank account without fail. We treat you with the dignity and respect you have earned. If you are a professional, you can always expect to be treated as one at Team Trident.

Q: Does Team Trident carry Jones Act compliant Marine Liability Insurance coverage?
A: Yes. Team Trident can provide a Certificate of Insurance on request. Coverage includes a $1MM Marine General Liability and a $10MM Umbrella policy per occurrence. We are proud to say that we have over 1,000,000 incident-free hours offshore to date.

Q: What affiliations does Team Trident keep in the offshore industry?
A: The subsea construction industry in the US Gulf of Mexico has changed since the Deep Water Horizon incident in April 2010. The bar has been justifiably increased for companies working offshore in support of this industry. We welcome the changes as an opportunity to stand out in a very positive way by requiring all our personnel to meet or exceed the most stringent client requirements. As such, we are members of:

IMCA
International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA)
We participate as members and abide by competence requirements established by this association.

ADCI
Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI)
Members in good standing of an organization whose focus is competent, safe and professional performance in the commercial diving and underwater operations environment.

ISN
ISNetworld (ISN):
Members of an organization that requires we are compliant and only send competent and safe personnel to our clients offshore.

IADC
International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC):
We participate as members and contribute to workshops dealing with skilled personnel standards.
